I know of a few young women with similar experiences. It's great that you were able to see your value and be capable in still creating the future you are destined. I commend you on being able to help those come out of such situations strong. Thank you.

Amanda A. You are right, organization is key. Medical school seems even more demanding, I commend you for it! I appreciate you reading the article, perhaps you can tell us what it is like in med school!

Re: 33 days : A day in the life of a law student

Mrs. Brittany,
Congratulations on being so close to graduating from Law School. Everything you said in your article is soooo true. I myself am in Medical School so I am fully aware of how being in grad school sets a foundation for you. You have to learn how organize your life in a way so that you can be successful in school and afterwards. It takes a truly dedicated person to get through Law school and at such a young age. You seem amazing. Congratulations and thank you for the article.

Re: The Gem Project Youth Public Debate Competition: March Topic- Instituting a ban on ‘Saggy Pants’ in the nation’s largest school system!

Fatima, I feel you're right. I agree that it takes collaborative efforts. If the entire community starts to hold each other accountable, that's when we will see real change. I also feel that this trend has expanded and affects everyone from varying cultures. Personally speaking, I believe there should be a stronger stance on dress code, in this particular situation.

Amanda A. If we are serious about changing this "fashion" I believe
It will have to be a collaborative effort between youth and the very culture that they emulate.
